Armin Khakpour's extensive background in HVAC system design and controls makes him well-suited for the position of Mechanical Engineering Director at ACE. In his role as a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager, Armin has successfully managed a wide array of projects, encompassing HVAC design, plumbing design, and energy compliance, spanning across various multi-family, healthcare, and commercial facilities. These facilities include central plants, research facilities, residential high-rise buildings, modular buildings, Home-Key projects, and retail spaces. His experience working on energy-efficient buildings has led to an understanding of pertinent requirements and the Green Building principles these types of buildings favor. Armin is responsive to client goals and mindful of all details, offering innovative solutions to even the most challenging problems.  His responsibilities have involved defining project scopes, collaborating with clients and sub-contractors, advancing design concepts, creating construction design documents and specifications, overseeing energy calculations, load calculations, analysis of ductwork and piping systems, cost estimates, and construction support services.

He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach.
